Adapted as part of Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very straightforward episode about rushing things to put the pieces straight into the puzzle. And my expressions were pretty straight watching this episode too, because there was no suspense or even logical storytelling. I get that it’s an animated show aimed at kids maybe? But only kids who know all the MCU so far might enjoy it. We’ll see how the other episodes develop, but I’m really not that excited about them after this one. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real sense of what the MCU is all about, it was creative and thoughtful with great WHAT IF moments. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing T’s back on screen. Episode 3, however, was the deal breaker and made me edit this review. It was so exciting and suspenseful to watch that I could have watched the entire movie from this episode. It re-examined the characters we know to a level that leaves you wanting more. I hope to get a 10 star edit by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s another star for a “weird” yet thought-provoking episode that was by far the best of the bunch in terms of writing, voice acting, animation, and story. Special mention to Benedict Cumberbatch for nailing the boss. Kudos to Marvel for doing this. By episode five, however, the episode was certainly entertaining, humorous, and engaging with quality animation, but again showed too much at the same time, not giving viewers enough time to absorb things. Still, a 9/10 overall for the series, at least until the next two episodes. They’ll have to beat episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
